We’re asking the important questions this Oktoberfest.
Traditional Canadian poutine is made with french fries, cheese curds, and brown gravy. But what happens when you replace the fries with crispy tater tots—and then load them with beer-braised bratwurst, savory Jäger mushroom gravy, German red cabbage, cheese curds, and spicy mustard?
Is it still poutine?
Or have we created an entirely new category of Oktoberfest deliciousness?
We’ll let you debate the technicalities. We’ll be busy eating it.
Flagler Tavern’s Oktoberfest celebration begins before the first bratwurst even hits the grill, with a night of Bavarian-style fun—and then continues with a limited-time menu and a draft lineup worthy of the occasion.
FIRST, PROVE YOU CAN HOLD YOUR BEER
Join us Thursday, September 17, from 7–9 PM for our Pre-Kickoff Stein Hoist, hosted by Samuel Adams OctoberFest.
We’ll have separate men’s and ladies’ divisions, so choose your stein, straighten that arm, and prepare to discover just how heavy a full mug can feel when everyone is watching.
Think you have what it takes? There’s only one way to find out.
THEN, BRING ON THE BRATS
Our limited-time Oktoberfest menu will be served Saturday, September 19, through Sunday, October 4, while it lasts.

OKTOBERFEST SOUNDS BETTER LIVE
The celebration continues Thursday, September 24, from 7–9 PM when Northern Sounds Oktoberfest Band brings the music to Flagler Tavern.
Come ready for a lively night of traditional Oktoberfest sounds, cold beer, big pretzels, bratwurst, and possibly another spirited argument over whether tater tots qualify as poutine.
