In 1994 the Nation fell in love with Forest Gump.  Following the story of his fabled life, by the end we all wanted a friend like Forest.  As we began preparing for Shrimp Fest for the month of August at every turn my head was spinning with grinning faces reciting their favorite quote from the movie Forest Gump.  From the kitchen to the bar, everyone immediately launched into one of the most well remembered scenes.  So here you go friends…in celebrations of everyone’s favorite fruit…SHRIMP, “…the fruit of the sea”.

All month long we will be celebrating these tiny morsels of goodness with 5 all month long with our 12 great shrimp dishes. That’s right, there are 12 ways to enjoy the fruit of the sea at Flagler Tavern in August. Well ok 18 technically if you add shrimp to any one of our awesome salads.

Island Coconut Shrimp
Crispy coconut encrusted jumbo shrimp served with our
signature Captain Morgan marmalade

Garlic Bay Peel ‘n Eat Shrimp
¾ Lb. of shrimp steamed, tossed in Garlic Bay seasoning
and served with rich drawn butter and cocktail sauce

Buffalo Shrimp Appetizer
Sweet shrimp lightly hand-breaded and fried, tossed in savory
Buffalo sauce served with blue cheese or ranch dressing
Make it gluten free/keto friendly by substituting grilled shrimp

Shrimp Cocktail
Chilled, tender, juicy jumbo cocktail shrimp served with
cocktail sauce

Buffalo Shrimp Wrap
Fried shrimp tossed in Buffalo sauce, Gorgonzola cheese,
fresh lettuce and Pico de Gallo, wrapped in a 12” fl our
tortilla and grilled

Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos
Fried shrimp tossed in our Boom Boom sauce, topped
with coleslaw and scallions

Seafood Flatbread
Fresh shrimp, bay scallops and blue crab, our housemade clam
chowder-style sauce on top of a crispy flatbread with grape tomatoes,
mozzarella and fresh basil. A Flagler Tavern favorite!

Fried Shrimp Basket
Served with a side of beer battered fries

Fried Seafood Platter
A bountiful trio of shrimp, clams, and haddock prepared
fried and served with one side

Tuscan Shrimp Pasta
Sweet sautéed shrimp, sun-dried tomatoes, and
spinach come together in our creamy Tuscan sauce
tossed with Campanelle pasta and served with ½ a
grilled demi baguette

Stuffed Shrimp Dinner
Succulent shrimp stuffed with our crab cake stuffi ng,
served with your choice of two sides

A shrimp-lover’s paradise with both hot & chilled shrimp
including: Six large cocktail shrimp, three ounces each of
chef’s ceviche and shrimp salad, fi ve stuffed shrimp, six
