I’ll Start off with my favorite kingdom … The House of Targaryen. Who doesn’t love to watch fire breathing dragons in action or watch a beautiful bad ass queen spill blood for justice? Introducing House of Taragyen’s Cardu Gold Reserve Single Malt. This special single malt is lead by two bad ass whiskey women and is distilled in Speyside, Scotland. Powerful women just like the fierce “Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, the Rhoynar and the First Men, Queen of Meereen, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regent of the Seven Kingdoms, Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons” Cardu Gold Reserve greets your nose with aromas of baked apple. On the tounge you’ll enjoy rich caramel with a hint of red apple, nut and clove. Followed by a light and dry finish with a touch of burnt sugar.
The Brave House of Stark is represented by Dalwhinnie Winter’s Frost Single Malt. Distilled in Scotland’s Highland region, at the highest and coldest site to produce scotch in all of Scotland. Dalwhinnie Winter’s Frost is shaped by the extreme conditions of it’s surroundings, just as the Stark’s qualities of resilience and strength are shaped by their home in Winterfell in the North. The beautiful Winter Frost single malt offers aromas of flower, pears and honeyed fruit. After the first sip your palate will dance with flavors of flowers and a touch of spice. The finish is soft and spicy with a note of honey.
The Richest of all the Kingdoms, The House Lannister, is represented by Lagavulin Nine Year Old Single Malt. The rich flavor of this 9 year old dram showcases the keen parallel of richness between this single malt and each carrier of the Lannister name. “Lagavulin is one of the most legendary single malt brands and has been crafted on the shores of Islay for more than 200 years – mirroring the meticulous calculation and tenacity employed by the Lannister’s in their rise to conquer the Iron Throne.” On the nose peat, smoked meat, pears, apples, bit or spice and saline. On the palate you’ll find lush smoke, grilled fruit, golden raisins with spice and a nauce of citrus peel
Royal Lochnagar 12 yr old Single Malt has been brought to our shelves honors the House of Baratheon is the ruling family on the throne. Royal Lochnagar is one of the few distilleries with a royal warrant bestowed by Queen Victoria in 1848. On your tounge you’ll be greet by a balance of delicate fruits and spices, this taste of royalty is best enjoyed neat. Light notes of oak and sweet liquorice that develops into a rich, creamy vanilla coffee and finishes with a mild nutmeg custard note.
Next up in our GOT Scotch Collection is the smokey seaside sculpted Talisker Select Reserve chosen to represent … you guessed it, The House of Greyjoy. This scotch was chosen to pair with the lords of Iron Islands because of it’s Maritime character and smokiness, as well as the distillery’s location on the rugged Isle of Skye. This liquid is an intense smoky single malt Scotch with spicy, powerful and sweet elements combined with seafaring flavors. Dry Sichuan peppery smoke and dark chocolate on the nose. On the palate the salted caramel with chili flakes explode into a smoky fruit cake of spice and the finish is long and complex with a lasting character of leather
Oban Bay Reserve proudly stands representing the brave and resilient Night’s Watch. The Oban distillery sits beneath the steep cliff that overlooks the bay in the frontier between the West Highlands and the Islands of Scotland, separating land and sea, just as Castle Black, home of The Night’s Watch, sits between Westeros and the lands beyond The Wall. On the palate you’ll find a wood and spicy dryness. Rich notes of candied orange peel and cherry pie that drifts into a wonderful crème caramel and a wisp of charred oak.
Johnnie Walker White Walker is the perfect dram to embody the frozen zombie army trying to take over the entire realm. For this limited edition Johnnie Walker Cardu and Clynelish malts are blended by specialist George Harper. White Walker is designed to be served right from the freezer.
